Choose the construction, then specify the configuration
This page is a product-family guide, not a stock list or a load rating. Begin with welded or press-locked construction; use the comparison guide for the differences. Material grade, protective coating and walking-surface profile are separate decisions.
Steel grating specification fields
Ask for a drawing or schedule with explicit units and definitions. The following fields replace a generic size range; availability and evidence must be confirmed for the actual enquiry.

Questions to resolve before quotation
- Does the proposed panel match the drawing's bearing direction and support arrangement?
- Are pedestrian, point and vehicle load cases described separately, including any relevant wheel footprint?
- Do the submitted load data cover the actual material, construction, section and span?
- Are surface performance and coating requirements documented, rather than inferred from a product name?
- Who will review the final panel and support design?
A label such as heavy-duty, galvanized or serrated does not approve the panel for a vehicle, corrosive environment or slip-critical location. Do not select a bar size from a generic description. Project-specific design and safety decisions belong to the responsible qualified reviewer.
