Molded FRP vs Pultruded FRP
Both are fibreglass grating, but made differently — moulded as a one-piece panel, or pultruded with high-glass bearing bars. Load and corrosion needs decide which.
Choose moulded FRP for maximum corrosion resistance and general walkways in chemical and water plants. Choose pultruded FRP when you need higher loads or longer spans — vehicle decks, bridges and structural framing.
FAQ
Which FRP grating is stronger, molded or pultruded?
Pultruded FRP carries higher loads and longer spans thanks to its high-glass bearing bars. Moulded FRP is bi-directional and excels at corrosion resistance over moderate spans.
Is molded FRP more corrosion resistant than pultruded?
Both resist corrosion well; moulded panels have a slightly more resin-rich surface, which can help in very aggressive chemical exposure.
